Think of your wallet as your Cardano “account”. You will use your wallet to connect to the SundaeSwap interface and other decentralized applications and protocols. Similar to how you may use your Gmail account to sign into other services, the act of connecting your wallet to the SundaeSwap interface is analogous.

To start using SundaeSwap, connect your wallet by following these steps:

1. Visit https://app.sundaeswap.finance and click “Connect Wallet” in the top right corner.

2. Review and then, if agreeable, accept the Disclaimer, Use Terms, and Privacy Policy. Then, select your wallet from the list that pops up, and follow the instructions that appear on your wallet application either through the mobile application on your phone or on the web browser extension.

3. Woohoo! Your wallet is now connected to the SundaeSwap interface, and you are ready to swap.

Note: When you are swapping or performing other actions on the SundaeSwap interface, you are using the wallet you connected for those interactions. This is what truly differentiates a decentralized and centralized application. You hold the tokens and the keys to your wallet and authorize those transactions using your private key. Conversely, centralized applications such as Binance or Coinbase hold full custody of your tokens and other assets, as well as authorize transactions on your behalf after you have gone through the verification processes they have put in place.
